Default If an Alien Landed in the U.S. . . .

and somehow found its way in front of a TV set and could watch programming for a week, what do you believe this alien would take away as the biggest issue facing the American public? I'll tell you what: the switch from analog to digital TV! It's impossible to get away from the scrolls and the commercials and the everything else. A lot overboard, in my estimation.

Most definitely Racism and it's renewed vigor after the Presidential Election.

If he watched President Bush's last press conference and round of appearances and knew anything about the last 8 years he would think we like delusional leaders.

Please, please, please don't delay the transition to digital. That only adds to length of time I'll be forced to view those ads.

The report I read yesterday says the house voted it down, but it was on some technicality? They will vote again next week and it is expected to pass. We will see?

I don't know about the technicality, but I did hear that the issue isn't dead yet, so there must be other options in the works. I guess we'll see.

My understanding is that in order to try and rush the vote with no discussion they voted under a rule that requires a 2/3 majority. They did not get 2/3 by a few votes. Next week they will vote under "regular?" rules where only a simple majority is needed and it is expected to pass this time.
