Energy Conservation

As we manufacturers are some of the largest users of energy, how have your operations been affected by the recent spike in energy costs? As a plant manager here in Michigan, I am revisiting opportunites that were previously ruled out, but may be back in due to changes in the basic equations for energy costs. Much of this exercise centers around the maintenance department and area supervisors, but we are looking to expand training and participation to the rest of the workforce.


Is anybody else finding opportunites for savings due to energy conservation?

It means that you can't actually create energy, only convert the energy from one form to another.
Well the fact that you can't create or destroy energy does have a lot of important consequences in how our technology works along with how the world works.
